List of Beaches In Goa
Goa has a wide range of beaches which stretches across the Konkan coast of the state of Goa. The swaying palms and the silvery sands stretch giving an enchanting sight.

Churches, Chapels, Temples a varied legacy

Arvalem Waterfalls
Arvalem Waterfall is located nine kms south of Bicholim town. When you emerge out of the Rudreshwar temple, descend down the stairs to look at the magnificient twenty four feet high waterfall. |
Arvalem Caves/ Pandavas Caves
These caves were encarved in the 5th or 6th century AD. The caves are situated 100m away from Sri Rudreshwar Temple and Arvalem waterfall.

Dudhsagar Waterfall
Believed to be amongst the highest falls in the country, these magnificent falls are located in a blissful tropical jungle with crisscrossing streams. The water falls from a height of 600 m, and creates mist at the bottom, which gives it a pleasant look.

Fort Aguada
Fort Aguada an oldest, well preserved fort is located at Sinquerim beach, overlooking the vast expanses of Arabian Sea. The fort was constructed in 1612 to guard against the Dutch and the Marathas. The fort stands a 4-storey Portuguese lighthouse with three fresh water springs inside it. A part of the fort is converted to central Jail.

Lady Of The Immaculate Conception Church
This church is located in the capital city of Panaji, established in 1541. The Church of Mary Immaculate Conception is one of the earliest churches built in Goa. The great bell of this church is acclaimed as the second largest bell in the world. Known as the Bell of the Inquisition.

Lamgau Caves
This is another famous tourist spot, the caves at Lamgau. The road through Lamgau village with a quite strenuous trek along the base of the hill, or a drive through Bicholim on the road towards Mapusa leads you to the Lamgau caves.

Mapusa Market
On Friday the market in Mapusa is fully crowded and lively being loaded with wide variety shopping, where stalls sell everything you need to stock up on your provisions, from curios and old coins to plants, vegetables, dried fish and spices.

Maya Lake
Maya Lake is situated in Bicholim taluka in North Goa, 7 kms from the Saptakoteshwar temple. It is famous for its boat rides.

Reis Magos Fort
Built in 1490 by Adil Shah and later taken over by the Portuguese in 1760, Reis Magos fort lies in the district of Bardez. After Portuguese left Goa, the fort was being used as prison.

San Jacinto Island
A small island located in the Mormugao bay is often passed by on the way to or from the Dabolim airport. It is about 5 kms from Bogmalo. It has old houses and a picturesque chapel.

Shri Mangesh Temple
At the entrance of the temple stands a distinctive white tower. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. At Priol-Ponda Taluka this temple is located 22 kms from Panaji and 26 kms from Margao.

Terekhol Fort
In the Pernem taluka, on the mouth of river Terekhol is Terekhol fort. It was built by Hindu rulers and later taken over by Portuguese. The for t has a church inside it which is mostly opened during feast time.

The Azad Maidan
It is the small piece of land with a central domed structure under which stood a bronze statue of Alfonso de Albuquerque in Panjim town. This statue is now moved to the state museum at Old Goa. It is now a memorial dedicated to Dr. Tristao de Braganza Cunha, the former Goan Freedom Fighter and another dedicated to Martyr's. In the middle lies his statue.

The Basilica of Bom Jesus
The Basilica of Bom Jesus is located in Old Goa. The basilica holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. Old Goa is about 10 km from the city of Panjim.

“Campal” this name came from ‘Campo de Dom Manual’, Dom Manual de Portugual e Castro a Viceroy, who took over this place in the year 1830 and developed a place by making it commercial from urban. This place is situated approximately at a distance of 4 km from Panjim.
